Scheedule is an automated schedule generator tool, designed to assist students in the registration proccess
At the moment Scheedule is avaliable for the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign, Indiana University, and the University of Arizona. If you would like to see scheedule for you school please email us at suggestions@scheedule.com
Scheedule first takes in a list of courses which you wish to enroll in, and then generates all possible schedules for you. The number of schedules generated can range from 20 to 20,000! At this point, you can use "preferencing" options to narrow down your choices, and then find the one schedule that works best for you.
Preferences are divided into 4 categories, "Times", "Days", "Misc", and "Advanced".
"Times" allows you to choose which time you would prefer not to have classes in. "Days" allows you to choose which days you would prefer not to have classes in. "Misc" allows you to choose to have clustered classes, spread classes, and if you want a one hour lunch break. All of these preferences will sort your list of schedules and place the ones that fit your options best at the front.
"Advanced" allows you to choose time-blocks where you absolutely cannot have classes in. Scheedule will then remove all schedules which conflict with those times.
Once you find the schedule which you are happy with, you can click on the "Go Register" button. Though this will not directly register classes for you, it will bring up a new window to the UI-Integrate website, and all the CRN's you need will be in a separate frame at the bottom of the window.
You may also click on the "Save Schedule" button, which brings up a new window with your schedule blown up on it. This new page is bookmarkable, printable, and linkable (so you can post it in your facebook, for example).
We want Scheedule to be as helpful as possible to anyone who uses it. Therefore, your ideas and input mean a lot to us. Any feature suggestions you send us will be looked at and will have a good chance of being added to laterversions of Scheedule. In fact, some of the your ideas have already been implemented in the current version of Scheedule.
Please send all your ideas to suggestions@scheedule.com. We appreciate all feedback.
Scheedule design and development started in Fall 2005 / Spring 2006 by the Scheedule Development Team, and was opened to public use in March 2006. We are a small team of UIUC undergrads.
